ABOUT MURRAY
As a fourth-generation Texas lawyer Murray W. Camp appreciates the immense responsibility that comes with representing clients in state and federal courts. His over 25 years of experience balances an aggressive approach with finely tuned negotiation skills to maximize the chance of client success. With a wealth of trial experience, he has achieved positive results in numerous complex business disputes and trust lawsuits, jury trials, hearings, and arbitrations.
Recognized as having attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, he was chosen for inclusion in the 2020 Texas Super Lawyers list, which is confined to the top 5% of attorneys in Texas.
Murray’s trial expertise has also been recognized as his selection as a Certified Faculty Member of the National Academy of Continuing Legal Education and has presented to his peers on topics such as jury selection and related trial topics.

Prior to his law career, Murray was a contemporary art dealer, independent curator, and assistant professor of Art History at St. Edwards’s University, teaching courses on Modernism and Dada/Surrealism.
Murray’s many interests include coral reef biology and reef aquarium husbandry. As a nationally recognized expert, he has spoken at numerous reef conferences around the country, been published multiple times in CORAL Magazine, and serves as the general counsel to the Marine Aquarium Societies of North America.
He is also an amateur astronomer and an avid bass fisherman, having competed in many fishing tournaments throughout the state of Texas.
As the son of a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and the brother of a disabled Navy SEAL, Murray is a proud supporter of the U.S. military and veteran recovery. He volunteers with Heroes on the Water, a non-profit that provides veterans and first responders rehabilitative opportunities through kayak fishing.
In addition to Heroes on the Water, Murray volunteers his time in assisting other organizations such as the Jesuit Preparatory School of Dallas and the Texas Astronomical Society.
